The red hot Sanger
Indians who are 5th on one
state poll and first on
another one continue to
dominate their opponents in
district action. After two
more victories last week the
Indians record is 19 3.
On Friday night
Indians easily raced

Get the “Active” Look
On Saturday night the
Indians lost a thriller to
Muenster 35 to 32. It was
one of those games you
wouldn’t believe since all
five starters for Sanger
fouled out and the Indians
had to finish the game with
only four girls playing.
Sanger led by 19 to 14 at
halftime and 29 to 26 at the
end of the third quarter, but
could make only 3 points in
the fourth quarter to
Muenster’s 9 points.
Lee Ann Galbreath led all
the Indians with 13 points,
Kathy Knight had 9, and
Texas pecans give that
“out of this world" touch to
any recipe—they have the
distinction of being the first
fresh food on the Moon.
In addition pecans are an
excellent source of energy,
vitamins, minerals and
protein.
Pecans store well in the
and competitive pricing are
among the reasons athletic
shoes are increasing in
popularity.
Projections for Spring ’79
indicate that best sellers will
be nylon and suede trimmed
models in the $10 to $30
price* range.
Also popular will be the
slightly more expensive
all suede or leather/suede
combinations and the less
expensive all canvas ones.
Irregarless of the look,
never sacrifice fit for
fashion, the specialist urges.
Buy shoes in mid to late day
when feet are the largest.
Wear the same number and
type of socks usually worn.
Look for proper fit from
heal to ball to toe, especially
along the arch. If the shoes
don't feel right at the store,
they won't feel right later.
Look for quality con
struction, she advises. For
athletic shoes that get hard
wear, buy the best quality
affordable. Smooth, even
and firm, but flexible, inner
and outer construction is a
must. Old, worn or discard
ed similar shoes can serve as
a guide for what to look for
and what to aoid when
buying.

On Friday night

Keesler led all the Indians
with 20 points hitting 9 of 16
shots from the floor and a
perfect 2 for 2 at the free
throw line.

Sanger has a 19 3 season

Pittsburg has a reputation

think the Dallas defense is
meaner.
I think the game which is
built up to be the greatest
Super Bowl game of all time
will be a bummer. Terry
Bradshaw will be running
for his life all day from the

MOTOR OIL
You can have a better
chance of keeping your car
on the road to a long and
trouble-free life if you use
your drive to heed these hints
on oil from the experts at the
Sun Company.
The only way to be certain
you are taking proper care of
your engine is to select the
right high-quality, name-
brand oil and stick with it.
Many so-called bargain oils
simply aren’t what they seem
to be.
Every can of motor oil
should carry two designa-
tions: a performance classifi-
cation as determined by the
American Petroleum Institute
(API) and a viscosity (thick-
ness) rating set by the Society
of Automotive Engineers
(SAE).
The API classifications are
S for gasoline engines and C
for diesel engines, followed
by letters based on the oils’
performances. A indicates the
lowest quality oil, D or E. the
highest. Designa-
tions such as 10W 40 means
the oil is suitable for varying
temperatures.
