GENERAL COURT-MARTIAL WAR DEPARTMENT,
ORDERS, No. 212. WASHINGTON, October 4, 1918.
Before a general court-martial which convened at Camp
Sevier, S. C., July 1, 1918, pursuant to Special Orders, No. 147,
June 14, 1918, Headquarters Camp Sevier, S. C., and of which
Lieut. Col. GUY E. BUCKER, Infantry, N. A., 323d Infantry, was
president, and First Lieut. WILLIAM H. JACKSON, Infantry Re-
serve Corps, 323d Infantry, judge advocate, was arraigned and
tried-
Capt. Guy Brown, 321st Infantry.
CHARGE I.-" Violation of the 93rd Article of War."
Specification 1.-" In that Captain Guy Brown, 321st Infantry,
being custodian of the company fund of Company H, 321st In-
fantry, and having as such custodian received from unit supply
officer, 321st Infantry, on or about February 23rd, 1918, a check
for thirty dollars and forty-four cents ($30.44) for the said
company fund of the said Company H, 321st Infantry, the same
being ration savings for the month of January, 1918, did at
Camp Jackson, S. C., thereupon convert the same to his own use
and benefit."
Speeiflcation 2.-" In that Captain Guy Brown, 321st Infantry,
being, custodian of the company fund of Company H, 321st In-
fantry, and having as such custodian received from Regimental
Exchange, 321st Infantry, on or about February 13, 1918, a
check for sixty-nine dollars ($69.00) for the said company fund
of the said Company H, 321st Infantry, the same being dividend
from Regimental Exchange for the month of January, 1918, did
at Camp Jackson, S. C., convert the same to his own use and
benefit."
Specification 3.-" In that Captain Guy Brown, 321st Infantry,
being custodian of the company fund of Company H, 321st In-
fantry, did at Columbia, S. C., on or about May 5, 1918, as such
cUstodian, draw a check on the Carolina National Bank, of
Columbia, S. C., in the sum of sixty dollars ($60.00) payable to
" Cash " out of the said company fund, did receive from the
said bank out of the said company fund the said sum of sixty
dollars ($60.00), and did at Columbia, S. C., thereupon convert
the same to his own use and benefit."
Specification 1.-" In that Captain Guy Brown, 321st Infantry,
being custodian of the company fund of Company II, 321st In-
fary, (lid at Camp Jackson, S. C., on or about January 12,
