remain unbeaten this season.
Although he didn't have a hit,
Greene was instrumental in the
Bullard offense with two runs.
He hit a roller just to the left
top of the fifth the Dawgs erupt-
ed for two runs and made him the
pitcher of record.
Jeremy Chase walked and
was forced at second by Eric
ters to maintain the deadlock
through the remainder of his
watch.
McMillan didn't have any
Duckworth, who was forced at
second by Blaine Brewster; hard-
ly a way to begin a rally. But then
Dusty Bagley singled and
Keronna Henderson was safe on
an error that allowed Brewster to
break the 3-3 deadlock.
Jeremy Ray singled for an
RBI and Luke Burnett walked to
fill the sacks before Lee struck
out.
Greene retired the last seven
batters we faced, five on strikes,
to complete his performance.
The Panthers scored three in
the sixth to give him just enough
offense to wrap it up.
James Crawford opened the
inning with a walk. A sacrifice
moved him to second, but a fly
ball for an out seemed to foil the
strategy.
Then the nine-hole hitter,
Drew Cavender singled, and
Greene walked, loading the
bases. Cavender scored on a
passed ball and the other runners
advanced to second and third
before Lance Eitel ripped a two-
run single.

the Panthers instead pinned him
with his third loss in 10 deci
sions.
The Dawgs made only two
errors, but they were big. They
had just two passed balls, but
they were big, too.
Bullard had just five hits, but
four were very timely in two of
the innings when the Panthers
did major damage.
Only one of Carthage's hits
was wasted, but it only had six as
Brody Greene mastered the Mihlhauser walked
Dawgs for a second time to Jeremy Chase laced a two-run
triple. Blaine Brewster walked,
then Dusty Bagley singled to
plate Chase , and make it a new
game.
Cleveland was on a roll by
of the mound in the Bullard first now, retiring seven of eight bat-
that Jonathan Mihlhauser tried
unsuccessfully to handle bare-
handed. A sacrifice, a two-out,
run-scoring single by Mike Ford
and a run-scoring double by easy moments in relief, but in the
Zack Redford put the hosts
ahead 2-0.
In the second, a walk to
Brandon Genough and a stolen
base seemed to be for naught
when Cleveland struck out
Chance Moore and Drew
Cavender. Another walk and
another error by Mihlhauser pro-
duced another unearned marker,
however, and a 3-0 Bullard lead.
In the top of the third,
Carthage went to work to secure
a tie.
Luke Burnett broke up
Greene's no-hit bod with a sin-
gle. Coby Lee moved him along
with a perfect sacrifice bunt and
Mihlhauser walked before

BULLARD - It’s hard to
make a case that Bullard and
Carthage are co-champions after
the Panthers won here Friday, 6-
5, in a 16-AAA playoff billed as
“for playoff seeding only."
It was the third meeting of the
season between the Cats and
Dawgs, all settled by one run,
