; There isn't a day that goes by that Tish doesn’t have
; some kind of sales gimmick to strap on her son-in-law.
* Whether the price be pocket change or folding money,
i she will have something to sell.
The latest to the Mt. Vernon B4PW fund raising
J drive, a process of taking donations for a quilt Absense
. of need is not enough, so I bought a ticket just to get rid
L of her. The next thing 1 knew, she had conned me into
giving her the loose change on my desk for her coin col-
lection, and two quilt tickets soon appeared on my
desk. Finally, she talked me into giving her three
dollars for lunch. You guessed it — three more quilt
tickets were found placed neatly on my desk. That
, makes a total of six tickets, and I don't even need a
hand made quilt. Later I found out her goal was to sell
me five tickets, so I really wasn’t hurt too badly, con
. sidering the goal could have been 20.
The whole thing is going to back fire on her. I was go-
ing to buy her a beautiful Mother-in-law gift on Oct. 25,
when Mother-In-Law Day is nationally celebrated, but
my financial condition from the quilt delayed the gift
for Tish until Dec. 19, when the drawing for the quilt is
to be held. In the event I don't win the quilt, Tish can
look forward to next year and hope that her con job
doesn't back fire again. t
