Meet the terrific team on the Junior Choir. In the picture at top are Cantor

Brown, Cheryl Cohen, Robin Cuthbert, Fiori Davis, Sarah Gerber, Raney Good-
game, Andra Granek, Jennifer Handy, Stephanie Horwitz, Marshall Kapell,
Rachel Kaplan, Lisa Katz, Michelle Katz, Amy Maislos, Gabriel Maislos,

(Junior Choir Secretary), Brian Sander, Ricky Schnider, Stefanie Shoss,
Marla Sinderbrand, Stephanie Small, Laura Sussman, Monica Taitel and
Danny Weinberg.
Over the years, Cantor Wagner has trained some very fine
choirs for Beth Yeshurun, but at Shabbat services this Friday,
you’ve got an extra-special treat in store. Because 33 of our
Religious School youngsters, ages 8-13, have banded together
in a Junior Choir to show everyone else just what singing is
all about! They have spirit, they have enthusiasm, and they
love to make music for Shabbat!
On the May 18th program, they’ll be singing two beautiful
melodies from Charles Davidson’s song suite, “Shiray
Megillot.” The selections include “Hashivenu Adonai” (God,
return us unto You) from the Book of Lamentations, and
“Simaynee Kachotam al L’vecha” (Place me as a seal upon
your heart) from the Song of Songs. And as if that weren’t
enough, the Sisterhood Choir will also be on hand to sing
another selection from the Song of Songs, “Ana Dodi” (My
beloved one answered).
Don’t miss this exciting musical evening. It will make
your Shabbat even lovelier and more memorable, and you’ll
go home so proud of our wonderful kids in the Junior Choir!
