DEDICATION OF
PEARL & ALEX SCHWARTZ STUDY
The beautiful new study given in memory of Pearl and Alex
Schwartz has been completed and will be formally dedicated
in the Greenfield Chapel at the Saturday morning service at
8:00 a.m. on January 21, 1989. Alex Schwartz will be
remembered for his years of dedicated leadership in the
Chapel.
The study will house the Steinsalz Talmud, which was
presented in honor of Alex Schwartz by Margaret and Abe
“Honey” Donsky. The family wishes to thank everyone who
played a part in the completion of the room - Sidney Aron,
Mark Mucasey, Florence Yellen, Ben Katz, Arthur Miller,
George Bruno and Michael Samuel.
Please join the Schwartz family at the dedication in memory
of Pearl and Alex Schwartz.

“Sefarad: The Meaning of the Golden Age
to the Jews of Today”
This past October, Adrianne distinguished herself as
a graduate of the Akiba Bar/Bat Mit^au|fe£j^gggB
she’ll prove her skills again this Saturday morning
when she conducts the entire Shabbat service. A
longtime member of our choir, she has also, for the past
two years, contributed her vocal talents as guest cantor
for the High Holy Days services at Congregation Beth
Shalom in The Woodlands.
Victor Lavis is on the faculty of internal medicine at
the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He
and Adrianne have two sons, Salvo and Sheldon, both
students in the Beth Yeshurun schools.
