Kadimiks Plan Meeting
The Kadimiks group (grades 3 - 6) is planning their
February program on Sunday, February 26. Plan to join them
for an Israeli luncheon, election of officers, and discussion of
future plans at 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Mandel-Weiner
auditorium. The positions to be filled are president, vice-
president, secretary and treasurer. If you plan to attend and
vote, your annual dues should be paid ($15). Please notify
Steve Daum, Youth Director, at 666-1884, if you plan to
attend, if you want to run for an elected office and whether or
not your parent could help us in the kitchen to prepare our
special, authentic Israeli meal.

Leah Braunfeld Appointed To The
Minority Affairs Committee of ISAS
Leah Braunfeld, Beth Yeshurun
Day School Principal, has been
appointed to the Minority Affairs
Committee of ISAS, Independent
Schools Association of the South-
west. ISAS is the accreditation
organization of Beth Yeshurun Day
School.
Braunfeld’s appointment was
made by James Maggert, president
of ISAS and headmaster of St. John’s Episcopal School in
Houston. Both St. John’s and Kinkaid are Houston ISAS
Schools.
The charge of the Minority Affairs Committee is to
strengthen the commitment of ISAS to its standards and
policies regarding minority students, faculty, staff, and
practices.
