Holocaust Museum Houston
Holocaust Museum Houston is accepting applications for the Fall
Docent Training class for weekend docents to begin in October, This
is the fourth docent training class held at the Museum, which has been
open for just over two years.
They have led nearly 1,000 tours for adults, seniors adults and
students. These diverse groups have come from around Texas, and as
far away as Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas.
After a recent tour, Deborah Deittrick, a history teacher a Reagan
High School, wrote to the Museum, “I have been searching for years to
reach my students about issues of tolerance and humanity. The field
trip clearly taught invaluable lessons about both. They will never forget
the lessons of the Holocaust and that gives me hope for the future.”
If teaching our community to live peacefully and without prejudice
is important to you, please call Misha Siegel, Visitor Services
Coordinator for Holocaust Museum Houston, at 713-942-8000, ext.
102. The deadline for applications is July 15, 1998.
