Brown County, remarking on the pea- icolor of your skin?

peanut industry is becoming the l provefl by certain

place of cotton and other products.
During the past few days several car-

’ So is it. Onions,
Tha, for instance, bleach the skin, as is
proved by certain natives of the
my section,. south Sea Islands, who eat little else
but raw and cooked onions, and in
consequencei have the smoothest and
fairest skins in the world.
Take the Mexicans, a dark, brown-
skinned race, and what do they eat?
Beans that match their skins exactly;
brown frijoles and red peppers make
their favorite tamale, and have more
to do with their tawny color than
the sun and wind from the mesas.
And there are the' little Chinese
a.nd Japs busily eating their pale
yellow, unpolished rice—for the rice
used there is not like our white, pol-
one county of Oklahoma, where five j ished ricp n is coated over with
glucose and talc, and eating this is
what tinges the oriental’s face with
chrome.
Now, if you want a fine, Caucasian
skin, white and rosy, here is what
i you should sit down to three times
a day: Onions, milk, apples, car-
rots, turnips, potatoes and white
fish, oranges, polished rice and plen-
ty of cream in your tea and coffee

oatmeal will darken your skin within
a week.—Exchange.
If this is true, then what does the
“nigger” eat?
