manche County, were held at

Leon Baptist Church at New-
burg.
Burial was in the Newburg
Cemetery, under the direction
of Buck Ashcraft Funeral
Home, Harlingen.
Mr. Goosby died Thursday
morning, March 19, at his
home in Harlingen.
He moved from Pasadena to
Harlingen in 1983 and was
retired from construction.
Mr. Goosby was a Post Mas-
ter of the Masonic Lodge in
board member at Newburg,

the World since the age of
21, member of the South Leon
Baptist Church at Newburg,

"Human Lee Burdette, 69,
retired owner-operator of Her-
man’s Dry Cleaners, Dublin,
died at 1:46 o’clock Friday
morning, March 20, in Harris
Methodist- Stephenville.
Funeral services for Mr.
Burdette were held at 2:00
o’clock Monday afternoon,
March 23, at Harrell Memorial
Chapel in Dublin. Officiating
was Rev. David Blagg.
Burial was in New Dublin -
Liveoak Cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews
Charles Burdette, Sid Bur-
dette, Gary Dossett, Edwin
Dossett, David Jenkins, and
Randall Jenkins.
Son of the late Lee and
Miriam Ida Whitfield Bur-
dette, he was bom July 24,
1922 in Dublin. He was mar-
ried August 27, 1944 to the
late Wilma Jo Roberson in
Hico. She died April 28,1991.
Mr. Burdette, a member of
the Baptist Church, was a past
president of the Dublin Lions
Club, past member of Dublin
Athletic Boosters, and Past
Man of the Year Dublin.
