present location from the East
side of the square, we had a
monopoly on benches in front
of the business.
I cannot recall one being
anywhere else on the square.
Ours has always been very
popular, particularly on “pa-
per” days when customers be-
gan to gather early to wait for
Woody to arrive from Brown-
wood with the latest Chief.
Now there are attractive
new wooden benches on all j
sides of the square, courtesy
