Many men are carrying such a
load of worldly ambition upon their
shoulders that there is no room
for the Cross.

TRAIN UP A CHILD ...
By W. N. SHORT
KALOMO, N. Rhodesia — School is out now for the African
students at Namwianga Mission and they are having a holiday
until July 27, when they will be back for another year of work
We are striving to instill in their minds the lessons of the king-
dom of Chriat, and many have obeyed the gospel.
Last year there were just over 300 of these students in the
achooL The African teacher? have been doing good work in
teaching the gospel in the school room and In preaching among
the villagee.
There is also a school for the white children of the colony,
some coming from as much as 300 miles away. These children
come from farmers, railway workers, storekeepers. Government
personnel and missionaries.
Grades start for the beginners through Standard V, which
corresponds to the eighth grade We could have perhaps 100
more children here, but have no place to put them as we
have our houses about full of children, keeping them the beat
we can. t .
The wise man said. "Train up a child In the way he should
go; and wheen he Is old he will not depart from it." Those who
would like to have a part in the work for the white people of
this land should send contributions to the elders of the church
of Christ at Cordell, Okla , who are working toward a dormitory
which is urgently needed at this time.
