• DANLEY — Carl Glen Danley, 84. died
Aug. 15 al his home in Winston, Ore.
Born in Marlow, Okla., he grew up in West
Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force
during World War II.
Danley married Marjorie Alzora Cast in 1944
He worked at the Veterans Administration Hos-
pital. Winston, Ore., until he retired in 1979.
Danley served the church as a deacon, later as
an elder, in Baldwin City. Kan. He also led
singing and served as a Bible class teacher.
Among his pallbearers were his son, grandson
and two granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife, Alzora; a son,
Terry, Perryton, Texas and three grandchildren.
• DENNIS — Allie Mae Dennis, 82, died
Dec. 17 at New Orleans of respiratory failure.
The Graves County, Ky., native was a former
hospital babysitter and a member of the Crowder
Boulevard church. Her husband, Cartez Dennis,
preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby L. and
Marion; two daughters, Martha D. Brooks and
Janice D. Smith; nine grandchildren and If) great-
grandchildren. *
Mattie Ree Hix, 89. died Jan 11 at

Raus, Tenn.
Hix, a former public school teacher, was also a
Bible school teacher, homemaker and member of
the Raus, Tenn., church. Her husband. Runa D.
Hix, who died in 1990, had served as an elder in
the Raus congregation for 45 years.
Officiating at the funeral were Roger
MacKenzie, T. Pierce Brown. Floyd Merritt and
Bob Davidson
Survivors include two sons, Henry Holt and R
Dan Hix; a daughter, Betty Dell Merritt, one sis-
ter. Mariella Bomar; seven grandchildren, five
great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild
• KRAMAR — Glenn G. Kramar, 73. died
Jan. 19 at home in Escondido, Calif.
Born in El Centro, Calif., Kramar was com-
missioned an ensign. United States Navy, after
completing the University of Minnesota NROTC
program in 1945. He graduated from Abilene
Christian University in 1949. Kramar married
Janice Renner, Marshalltown, Iowa, and served
40 years as a preacher for churches in Holtville
and Brawley, Calif.; Canada and Whippany, N.J.,
and as a missionary in Peru.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; five daugh-
ters: Ellen Banks. San Diego; Cindy Bihee,
Austin; Lois Wollin. Germany; Julie Magos,
Escondido; and Rebecca Brinley, Moscow.
Russia, two sons: John, Maryland; and Stephen.
Port Hueneme, Calif.; 34 grandchildren; two sis-
ters: Ruth Kirby, Boulevard. Calif; and Ann
Chronister, Missouri; and three brothers: Stephen,
Maine; Bill. Washington; and Joel, Virginia.
Memorials may be made to the Peru Fund,
1848 Bello Hills Lane, Escondido. CA 92026
•LOMAX- - Juanita Lomax, 64, died Jan. 20
in Wellington Kansas. She was horn May 10.
1925, in El Reno, Okla.
Funeral services were conducted at the
Wellington church with Stantcn Sikes officiating.
Interment was at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Littleton,
Colo.
• LOWRY — Margaret Nash Lowry, 69, died
Oct. 28.
A native of Tennessee, Lowry was a long-time
Bible school teacher. She and her husband,
Hardin, lived in North Carolina for 20 years,
working with congregations in Mocksville and
Bryson City. Lowry was active in Civitan Inter-
national and the Extension Homemaker Clubs of
Kentucky and North Carolina.
Lowry is survived by her husband, and a sister,
Hester Putnam.
• RACKLEY — Robert “Bob” Rackley, 62,
died Jan. 2 at Bnxrk Army Medical Center, San
Antonio, after a short battle with cancer. He was
born June 20, 1937.
Rackley, an elder in the Pleasanton congrega
tion until shortly before his illness, had served as
a deacon for a number of years.
Brackley's funeral was officiated by his broth
er-in-law, Ray Bean, Pleasanton pulpit minister.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, Pleasanton:
his mother, Carmel Rackley, George West. Texas;
two sons, Wayne, San Angelo, Texas, and Jerel.
Pleasanton; daughter Lorene Tullos, Pleasanton;
three brothers, Wade and Leo, George West
Texas, and Jerry, San Antonio; and two grand
daughters, Courtney and Madison Tullos.
• SAVAGE — Manera Crass Savage died
Granbury, Texas, Jan. 3.
The wife of Luther Savage, preacher’in Texas
and Colorado for more than 60 years, she taught
public school at the Hurst-Euless-Bedford High
School near Fort Worth for 22 years, retiring with
honors. She taught ladies’ Bible classes wherever
her husband preached.
Stanley Singleton and Murray Marshall offici-
ated al her funeral.
• THOMAS — Mary Katherine Thomas. 87.
died at an Abilene, Texas, hospital from conges
live heart failure and pneumonia.
Thomas was born in Hale Center, Texas As
the wife of J.D. Thomas, a member of the Bible
faculty at Abilene Christian University for 33
years, she was active in church work and also at
Abilene’s Christian Service Center.
The Thomases were married for 67 years and
were members of the University church for 50 years.
Survivors include a daughter. Hannah B
Kissick; a son, John P. Thomas; eight grandchi I
dren and eight great-grandchildren
Memorials may be sent to Abilene Christian
University Library for religious books. West

Foundation, Dallas.
• WATSON - Ollie Lou, known by her
friends as "Polly,” Watson, 82, died March 17 in
Edmond, Okla. Born in Konawa. Okla., she mar
ried Joe Fred Watson in 1936.
As the wife of a minister, she enjoyed working
with her husband in Oklahoma, Alabama.
Tennessee and New Mexico. They served in the
campus ministry for the church in Stillwater.
Okla., from 1956 to 1965, when they moved to
Port Elizabeth, South Africa, as missionaries
Later, they moved to Uganda, where they lived
until conditions became unsafe.
In 1972, they moved to Benoni. South Africa,
near Johannesburg, to assist with the Southern
Africa Bible School, a training school for minis
ters. In the late 1970s, they returned to Stillwater,
where they were involved in raising funds for the
Benoni School.
In 1985. they moved to Ada, Okla., where they
continued their efforts for the Benoni school, as
they were able.
After her husband Joe died in 1988. Polly
moved to the Tealridge Retirement Center on the
campus of Oklahoma Christian University, Okla
homa City, to be near her son, Joe. She was a resident
of Bryant Nursing Center for the last year.
Survivors include her son, Joe, a vice presi-
dent of Oklahoma Christian University; a brother.
Bill Rhodes, Broken Arrow, Okla.; a sister
Elizabeth Walker, Bing, Okla.; a granddaughter,
Kathryn Watson, Dallas; two grandsons: Brad,
Nashville. Tenn., and John Watson. Austin. Texas;
and four great-granddaughters.
Funeral services were March 22 at the Central
church, Ada. with interment at Memorial Park
Cemetery.

Christ University Center Foundation, 821 N.
