whose interest Hanna purchased,
is going Into the meat and market
business In West Texas.
Hanna and Earl Jones have re-
cently purchased for their grocery
some new scales, and a new meat
tendertxer besides their new cash
register and filing cabinet.
The partners are planning on re-
modeling their store and adding
new equipment and fixtures.
The grocery now carries most the
better known brands of merchan-
dise. choice meats, and fresh vege-
tables. Frozen foods will soon be
handled at the store.

they are expanding and moving
their Singer Sewing Machine de-
partment Into the space that was
formerly occupied by the American
Cafe An opening has been made
between the radio and Singer de-
partments.
The owners have a
program that ts now underway and
they hope to have the new Singer
department ready for business some
time next week
With this expansion the Talia-
ferro's will have twice as much

ted in the grocery business In 1945,
with Earl Jones, announced last
week that he liad purchased an In-
terest in the Jones Bros Grocery,
1235 West Oak Street. The grocery
will now be called the Jones and
Hamm Oak Street Grocery and
Market
Hanna has been in the grocery
business for over 22 years, and for
the past two years, tie has been
operating his poultry farm. Hanna
said that the reason he decided to
go back into the grocery business
was because he.‘just wasn't happy
when he was not selling groceries
and meats.”
