Gainers I Win First
Game of Series the
Farmersville Chib
The Gainers, won their eighth
freight victory at the local hall
nark Thursday .afternoon when they
defeated Farmersville in the first of
a aeries of three game, by « score of
3 to 2, before a, large crowd of en-
thusiastic fans.
It was one of the prettiest diamond
battles seen on the local lot this sea-
s«n. being a ritcher* battle between
“Lefty” Ike McClendon and Gill, with
hits and errors equally divided be-
hind* them. Each struck out four
men nrd passed four. However,
the <iainers bunched their seven
blowY tc better advantage, and came
out at the big endfof the horn.
It was a regt’ar nip-and-tuck af-
fair for six iniirgs, nothing but
gooeo eggs deecrnting the w-ore-
board. Then the Gamers broke loose
and crunted twice. Estes lead off
with a long fly to Sherroll. Lewis
bent out an infield hit and took
second on a wild heave. Parton then

Leonard's poor showing against
