What is the number one prob-
lem for men and women in sub-
urban America? The answer to
all these questions is the same,
She was not the most demonstra-
tive, and yet her acts of love were
evident if you knew her.
I have a white blanket that she
gave me when I was expecting
ter. What a blessing it would be
to someone if you and I would
break through in their life shat-
tering loneliness and showing
them somebody cares. Why not
do that this week
Join your friends and neigh-
bors in the church of your choice
this week and learn how Jesus
can help overcome loneliness.
From my heart to yours,
Bro. Larry

enough about others to reach out

touch someone's life this week

even if Granny will not be present
an article that was hers will be.
We have been shaped by the
ones who have been in our lives,
appearance and yet a small part of My granny taught me so much. I
her will be there. My mother kept saw the value of hard work, con-
one of her rockers which she gave tentment, and the importance of
to Steffanee to use in her home. I family. Her love for my cousins
will admit it was a little bedraggled and me allowed us to be assured
when it showed up at my house but that someone always had our back,
it is beautiful now. We had all the
stain and varnish stripped off and
the seat cushioned cleaned. Daniel
stained it with boiled linseed oil
and the cushion has a different cov-
er. It makes me happy to know that Steffanee which I will pass on to
my granddaughter. She did the
same, get a blanket, for all of my
children so I will pass those on as
well when they have a child. You
see what we are, as family, is not
what we have, but the memories we
share. Think of the positive mem-
ories you have of those who have
passed on and take time to share
them. Maybe you have something
(a piece of furniture, quilt, a piece
of jewelry, bible, etc.) that may not
mean anything to anyone but you.
Have you shared the story associ-
ated with it or are you waiting for
when you will have time? What if
that time never comes?
Granny’s rocker does not fully
represent who she was to me, but
each time I rock my granddaughter
surrounded by the beautiful wood I
will remember. I will also pass the
stories on that were so dear to me
so that in some small way she will
know about her great, great grand-
mother. Pass on something to your
kids, grandkids, great grandkids,
etc. that is worth passing on. In the
big scheme of things, that is all that
matters.
