Charges of negligent homicide,
second degree, were filed Mon-
day in Castro County Court a-
gainst Wiley William Thomas
Jr., 25. of Hereford.
The charges stem from an
accident last Friday 5.6 miles
southwest of Hereford in which
Sanford Earl Cox. 59. of Route
4. was killed.
Highway Patrolman Ron-
nie Rainey, who investigated
the accident, filed the charges
Bund for Thomas was set at
9750.
Rainey said Thomas was go-
ing south on a county road and
Mrs Cox was driving east on
another county road when the
two pickups they were driving
collided at an intersection on the
old Prisoner of War Camp road

block of Main early Wednesday
afternoon, apparently having
suffered a heart attack
Police identified the man as
George T. Jones of Route 3. No
other details were available at
press time. The body was taken
to Gililland Funeral Home
