On Hallowe’en night, the Phil-
lipsburg Luther League had a

has been, a resident of William
Penn for many yedrs. In 1887 she
was married tc Henry Tappe at
Wm. Penn, celebrating their gold-
en wedding anniversary in 1937.
Her husband preceded her to the
grave on Oct. 13, 1938. She was
a Hfe-long member of the William
Penn Lutheran church.
Surviving are the following chil-
dren: Henry Tappe of Rosenberg,
W. H. Tappe of MeyerSvHie, Fritz
Tappe of Fort Worth, Charlie
Tappe of William Penn, John
Tappe of William-Fenn, Mrs. Wil-
lie Wehring of Houston and E. W.
Tappe of Wm. Penn. Three chil-
dren preceded her to the grave.
She also leaves 25 grandchildren,
3 great grandchildren, and one
brother, Herman Wiesepape of
Miles, Texas.
Funeral services will be held
from the family residence at Wil-
liam Penn at 2:00 p.m. Thursday
and continued at the Wm. Penn
Lutheran church with Rev. C, J.
Appel pastor, officiating. Burial
will be In Prairie Lea cemetery at
Brenham, where she will be laid
to rest by the side of her husband.
Active pallbearers will be Jack
Green, Robert J. Schawe, Otto
Lueckemeyer, W. C. Lueckemeyer,
John Hoile, Robert Lenz. The
Leon Blmank Funeral Home 1« in
charge of arrangements.
