The baby, which had lived for
veral days, in the opinion oi Dr

body, was found to have its right
leg broken a' the knee. No verdict
has been returned by Justice A W
Davis of Deweyville, who conduct-
ed an inquest.
The grand jury inquiry was or-
dered in the belief Uiat the child
was murdered. Its body was wrapped
in a b-ath towel, then placed in a
lifundry bag on which the initials
i ' US ' were fcutul. It was placed in
a small box on which the name of
Orang? Grocery Company, whole-
t '.ifr here, was printed. This box
was in a larger one with the name
Clarke A- Courts, Galveston engrav-
ing firm, on it. The boxes are be-
ing traced by Orange and Newton
county officers seeking the parents
of the baby.
