Still the tribe managed to walk out of there
with their second shutout , in as many weeks, 25-
0. Thanks to three touchdowns in the second half
by Adam Tucker on a 4-yard run and Wallace’s
spectacular 45-yard reception,. Sprabary threw
deep and Wallace managed to come up with it be-
tween two Decatur defenders. This time the score
counted and Wallace received an extra hatchet for
his helmet for the “extra effort”. Running back
Juan Garcia scored the final touchdown on a two
yard run.
Sanger’s defense, once again, played spectacu- •
lar. They held Decatur scoreless and K4 total yards
(11 passing and 73 rushing). Defensive tackle John
Canterbury led with seven tackles and one sack.
Linebacker Justin Serna had eight tackles.
The Indians’ offense compiled 349 yards (137
passing and 212 rushing). The second district win
improved Sanger’s recoil to 6-0, 2-0 while Decatur
dropped to 1-5, 0-2.

Tribe shuts out Decatur 25-0
The Indians fans were surprised at halftime
when Sanger only led Decatur 7-0 at intermis-
sion. Sanger managed only one touchdown on a
24-yard lob pass to wideout Justin Schulz, in the
first quarter. Sanger quarterback Nathan
Sprabary threw another'touchdown pass to re-
ceiver Aaron Wallace with less than a minute left
in the first half. Sprabary sprinted out to the left
and found Wallace at the 10-yard line on a 20-
yard dart. Wallace broke a tackle and sprinted
into the endzone, but a lineman down field pen-
alty wiped it out. This was just one of the several
questionable calls that went against the Indians
last Friday night in Decatur. The tribe was pe-
nalized 10 times for 85 yards in the game. Clearly,
no Sanger lineman was down field on this play
and three other penalties in the first half could
not be explained. It got so bad, head coach James
Ivy gave them an earful while walking to the
locker room at halftime.

The eighth-grade football
team headed to Decatur to play
their second district game.
With a 34-12 win over Little
Elm last week, the Indians
seemed fairly confident heading
into the big game against last
year’s district champions.
However, after (he loss of 23
players. (20 to grades and three to
injuries), the Indians knew that
they had their work cut out for
them.
The Indians played had ' “A" game. Please come out and
against the Eagles but lost 22-0. support the Indians.
