Mlle. Micheline Helene Kanzelefska
11 Rue Debelleyme, III
Paris, France
Dear Helene:
Mrs. Kempner and I received your letter of the 23rd
of November and it hasn't been answered sooner for the
reason that I have not been any too well and, in addition to
this, I lost my brother by death a week or so ago.
There is nothing new that I can report to you about
the visa except that we are working on it, but it is very
difficult even from this side and will take time and a good
deal of money. In the meanwhile, I do want you to continue
your efforts in this direction from Paris and hope that you
will meet with some success. Keep on trying I
We spent a very quiet Christmas here. My daughter
and grandson were here for the Christmas holidays but will
leave in a couple of days for New York.
With best wishes for a Happy New Year, I am
Yours sincerely,
D. V,,. Kempner
