the outstanding talent shown
among some of the pupils and
it is certainly evident the fu-

Miss Polly Irvin of Shelby-

in the city.
Mrs. P. L. Sandel again
proved herself to be an artist
of music when she presented
her pupils in a Christmas re-
cital at her lovely home Fri-
day evening. The guests
(composed of the parents of
Mrs. Sandel’s pupils) were
greeted in the room, made
bright and cheerful with
glowing fires, shaded lights
and Christmas decorations.
The music room centered with
the “Chickering Grand” also
reminded the children of the
coming o f Santa, with its
lighted Christmas tree.
Each member presented
showed the thoroughness of
direction and preparation and
each drew hearty applause.
