As of January 2006, the district
implemented a rule that says any dis-
trict employee who wishes to drive a
district vehicle must take a defensive
driving course.
Since its implementation, about
200 employees have taken the course,
Roderick “Roy” Brown, district safety
coordinator, said. .
The six-hour course, taught by
Brown, is offered once a month.
The next day to take the course is
May 17. Employees must sign up two
weeks in advance.
To sign up, employees must show a
valid drivers license.
The classes last from 8 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. in Room 100 at the ATC Building
at Kelly USA.
