some definite period. When
one becomes a Christian, he
vows to be true to Jesus, and
to obey him, and the enlistment
is for life.
The next thing is training to
be a soldier. 'No government
would think of putting a man
into line of battle without first
training him. So the man who
has enlisted under the banner
of King Jesus needs to be
trained. He needs to learn
how to use the weapons of war-
fare and to march with his
comrades. The Christian needs
to learn how to use the wea-
pons of his spiritual warfare
and to work with his fellow sol-
diers. Paul says in the lesson
read that the Christian is put the Gospel Ministry on July 17,

Finally, the soldier is to go
into battle. This is the real
test. Brethren, are we ready ■'
to accept responsibility when
it comes. Are we ready to do
actual service for Christ? Shall'
we retreat when we are most'
needed? God help us to be J
