The evangelistic meenings
held by Dr. C. A. Stewart have
come and closed and are now a
matter of history. The Church
received a great spiritual uplift
and many persons were led to
Christ. Dr. Stewart has shown
himself to be a preacher of rare
power and eloquence. His meth-
od of conducting revival meetings
has been simple, plain and di-
rect, The sinner was taught
tjat only by personal faith in
Christ could he be saved from
his sins. We shall not soon for-
get the gentle manly deportment
and scholarly sermons he has
given us.—O. C. Kirkham, Pas-

The club met Wednesday,
Appril 11th, with Mrs. J. B. Ma-
gee. Quite a number answered
to roll call with selected quota-
tions.
We had with us as guests
Mesdames Graham Banes, W.

the latter being an out-of-town
visitor.
Mrs. Tom Dillingham took her
old place egain as a member and
all were glad to welcome her.
As usual, the fancy work was
beutiful and varied. It would be
a hard task to find a band of la-
dies more crafty with their nee-
dles tban those of the Priscilla
Club. The fancy work displayed
in our| hostess’ home was an evi-
dence that she was indeed a
Priscilla.

joyed the refreshments more
than usual, we always do the
first cream and berries of the
season. After this we worked
only a few minutes, when the
motion was made to adjourn.
Each member and guest left
reluctantly, as this was one of
the most pleasant meetings of
