Serious Burns

en-month-old grandson of mr and
Mrs. Henry Cretzinger of Brecken-
ridge. was transferred lo a Gal-
veston hospital Monday for treat-
ment of critical burns which Ihe
inlant received Saturday alternoon.
The baby was lirsl hospitalized
in Hendricks Memorial Hospital in
Abilene and was reported in a crit-
ical condition there Monday morn-
ing. He suffered extensive burns
of the face, arms, hands,
chest, they said.
The child, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Leslie Doyle Waggoner of 1801
Woodard Street in Abilene, was
burned when he apparently rolled
onto the Moor furnace, the father

is being conducted each morning
this week by the local society.
The theme of the Week of Prayer
program is "And Yet Abirieih
Hope." Each day the program is
built around this general theme.
Monday, Ihe discussions were on
the theme, "Having No Hope With-
out God In The World" and was
directed by the Kathleen Jones
Circle. Tuesday, the theme was
Begotten i nto a Lively Hope" and
directed by the Caroly.i Caies Cir-
cle Wednesday. Ihe program will
be held al Ihe evening prayer ser-
vice hour with the missionary
message by Leonard Lane. Thirj-
day. the theme is Rejoicing fn
Hope" directed by Kathryn Co/-
zins Circle. Friday, the theme is
"Christ in You, The Hope of GIom "
directed by Ihe Jewel Smith Cir-
i ele.
