Miss Martha Lynn Pruitt, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Doyl fruit• of
Lonaview and niece of Miss Ruby
Buford and Mrs. H. II. Cartwright
of Breckenridge, has been chosen

Mrs. Mary Smith oY DeLeon is
visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. II. Pen v.
They all made a trip to Odessa
over the weekend to visit their
sons.
Our community was saddened on
learning of tho passing of Mrs,
Fred llarrell of Lueders. Mrs. Har-
rell died of a heart attack Thurs-
day, April 20. The funeral was
Saturday at Cresson. The Harrels
are former residents of Gunsiuht

the community visitng his mother,
Mrs. Martha Thorpe, and other
members eft his family as well as

Ceeil Dye of Albany visited his
mother, Mrs. Mollie Dye, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Linam of
Breckenridge spent Sunday after-
noon viiiting Mr. and Mrs. W. S.
Dye.
Several havc reported seeing

tie's dog was bitten by one, but.
the swelling has gonc away, and
he will be O. K. soon.
W. Maxwell of flainview was
visiting- his sister. Mrs. Wesley
Ilcnson and Mrs. Hcnson Monday.
The Red Gap IIomc Demonstra-
tion Club will meet Thursday, Ap-
ril 27, at 9 a. m. at the Rural Youth
Center in Miller Park. The pro-
gram committee will have charge
of the program, and all members
are urged to be present.

Thursday night, April 27, at 8 p.
m. at the Community Building. The j

at the club house. All members are
urged to attend.

The Desk aud Derrick Club will
meet Monday, May 1st, at thc Wo-
man's Forum at 7:30 p.m.
The program for the meeting will
be presented by .Mrs. Elizabeth
Roach of Graham, Texas. Her topic
will be on oil operations in Arabia,
lfre there for the American oil em-
ployees and something about the
people of Arabia. Mrs. Roach has
lived in Bogota, Columbia; Marca-
ibo, Venezuela; Calgary, Alberta
and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
The Quiz program will be taken
from Article IV of the By-Laws
concerning "Membership."

Hie Breckenridge Boys Choir
will sponsor a rummage sale and
plant sale on Tuesday and Wed-
nesday. May 2 and 3. The rummage
sale will bc held in thc White Ele-
phant Center, 215 East Dyer, and
thc plant sale will be held in the
Safeway and A & f Stores. A var-
iety of potted flower plants is to
be sold.
