Marlow was the well-known
Knapp shoe man who sold shoes
throughout the Whitewright
area for years. He was a jolly
man about the town until the
death of his wife several months
ago. After that, he was never so
cheerful again. They had been
close <

Roberts carried his home
county, Collin, by a healthy
percentage as well as the home
counties, Grayson and Rock-
wall, of his opponents.
The county-by-county break-
down of the vote shows Cooke,
56.9 percent; Collin, 73.9 per-
cent; Denton, 63.6 percent;
Hunt, 69.2 percent; gregg, 69.6

variety show in Van Alstyne Saturday evening. Although they
have never had any professional training, they always manage to
please audiences with their pantomime-dance act. They will be
performing in Whitewright next Thursday at the Country
Musical.
