many at the yard of the Nocona
Lumber Company this week. It was
built by Mr. J. O. Haynes for The
Nocona Bridge Company. We under-
stand that it will be equiped with a
motor for use at Ketchum’s Bluff.

The Sunday School of he Central
Christian church left Wednesday for
B two days fishing and outing at
Seay Crossing. They were chaperon-
ed by the superintendent of the Sun-
day School, Mr. A. V. Peterson, and
wife. Others who went were Mr.
W. W. Jones and family, Messrs.
Jack Clingingsmith, Wade Bonds
and Lee Redrick.
J. A. W. McGrew received word
that the derrick where he was drill-
ing a water well, southeast of
Waurika, had blown down last Mon-
da night. Mr. McGrew left for
that place Thursday.
crowd from Nocona spent
Sunday very pleasantly at the Mel-
ton ranch, near Ringgold. On Sat-
urday, Bill Melton prepared a bar-
becue, large quantities of beef and
mutton. Old neighbors and friends
who had not been together for years
met there, and the true spirit of
old time ranchmen’s hospitality pre-
vailed. Especial effort was put forth
to make the day enjoyable to the
older people present. Among these
were Mr. and Mrs. Steve Melton,
and Uncle Alex Boren and wife.
At noon, the delicious lunch was
spread and thoroughly enjoyed by
allfcpresent. There were visitors
rtlj^WNocona, Ringgold, Belchervile,
Bpwie and the surrounding country.

on Farmers Creek Wednesday.
The Juniors entertained in honor
of the Seniors at the lovely home
of Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Rowland on
Wednesday of last week. On en-
tering, th esteps were so arranged
as to illustrate the class motto: “The
elevatro to success is not running;
take the stairs.” The house was
beautifully decorated throughout in
the class colors, blue and gold.
