Notes

Translation of Item: "Dear Poujol, I received your letter and I am pleased to learn that you will be able to drive your car for me. I would certainly like to meet you at the steamer which will arrive on August 14th. This year I will be staying at the Ritz hotel instead of the Plaza. I would like to prepare a few questions for your response: 1. Do you speak English and a little German because I hope to visit Germany and Austria. 2. I would like to know the name of your car (which I assume is a Cadillac). 3. I would not use the car in Paris all day, would the price for the car be the same in this case? I would use it from time to time in the evening (During the evening). When I would not like to use your car while in town, could the price be charged per kilometer? i.e.: Would you sell on credit for 'kilometer length' of the day? 4. Will you give me the names of some Americans who employed you as a driver, with their information. You will realize that during the time I spoke with you in Paris, I was ill, and I only spoke with you for ten minutes. Do I understand that the price for the car is F.F. 10,000 per day, and that your additional expenses are $8.00 per day while you are on the road? Please give me your response as soon as possible, using the envelope included. With my greetings, Mrs. D. W. Kempner"
