Have you ever been
lost? Not just mildly mis-
ury and Mrs. Jerry (Pat)

On one level, it hap-
pens to my wife nearly
every day. Joyce is direc-
tionally challenged. When
she comes to an intersec-
tion, I ask what way we
should go and when she
suggests a way, I go the
other way. And
because she has been a
place ten times doesn’t
mean she can find it the
eleventh. So being lost in
people on a fallen planet.
But the good news is that
God has given us a GPS
for the soul.
We call this GPS sys-
tem - the Bible. Years
back someone made an
acronym for the word,
Bible. It stands for Basic
Instruction Before
Leaving Earth. I like that.

ting into the Word of God
on a regular basis. In fact,
I suggest that you make
studying the Bible a daily
habit. As you study the
Bible, God will give you
all the directions you need
to succeed in life.
Where are you unsure
what to do, where to turn,
how to proceed? We’ve all
been there, and we will all

and just a time of great food
and fellowship.

backyard had been beauti-
fully landscaped by the
Ross family before the
birthday party of their
grandson who celebrated
his first birthday on June
1. The meal consisted of
hamburgers, baked beans,
potato salad, chips and
dips. The dessert was a
birthday cake honoring
the oldest members of the
Club, Barbara Brooks
Alexander, who was cele-
brating her birthday on
May 13. Homemade ice
cream was also served
with the cake. At that
time, the Club presented
Mrs. Alexander with their
gifts of appreciation and

At tryouts held at Rusk ISD on December 12 and 13,
two students from the Beckville Bearcat Band were
selected to the Region 21 Association of Texas
Small Schools All-Region Band. Eighth-grader
Jessica Adams was selected to the Junior High
Symphonic Band and junior Eley Buchanan was
selected to the High School Symphonic Band.
These students will perform with the Region Bands
in Concert at Chapel Hill High School on January
17.

large breakfast, gorgeous

downstairs consists of a
game room totally devot-
ed to the Kasper family’s
eight grandchildren which
displays anything one can
imagine that children
