With ail the uncertainty in the markets, it may be a good
time to consider FDIC Insured CD’s. Why take a risk on
having more than $100,000 in one bank when there are
hundreds of FDIC Insured banks to choose from. Why
spend all day going from bank to bank trying to find the best
rates when you can check the rates on hundreds of banks
with one stop.

the most popular storyteller for one last adventure, the
self-proclaimed "down-on-
their-luck geezers" kidnap
themselves from the adult
children and doctors who
seem to run their lives to
steal away from their home
in suburban Detroit on a
forbidden vacation of
rediscovery. Darkly obser-
vant, told with humor,
affection, and a touch of
irony, The Leisure Seeker is
an odyssey through the
ghost towns, deserted trail-
er parks, forgotten tourist
attractions, giant roadside
icons, and crumbling back
roads of America.
Ultimately it is the story of
Ella and John: the people
they encounter, the prob-
lems they overcome, the
experiences they have
lived, the love they share,
and their courage to take
back the end of their own
lives.

Things are about to get
spooky in Trenton, New
Jersey. According to leg-
end, the Jersey Devil
prowls the Pine Barrens
and soars above the tree-
tops in the dark of night. As
eerie as this might seem,
there are things in the
Barrens that are even more
frightening and dangerous.
There are monkeys - lots
of monkeys. Wulf
Grimoire is a world wan-
derer and an opportunist
who can kill without
remorse and disappear like
smoke. He’s chosen Martin
Munch, boy genius, as his
new business partner, and
he’s chosen the Barrens as
his new playground.
Munch received his doctor-
ate degree in quantum
physics when he was twen-
ty-two. Bounty hunter
Stephanie Plum has Munch
on her most-wanted list for
failure to appear in court.

with a penchant for show-
ing up and complicating
Stephanie’s life, was chas-

also after Munch. Diesel

However, despite the din-
news and dark predictions,
there are real opportunities
to come from the greatest
fire sale on financial assets
since the early 1930s. Dent
outlines the critical issues
that will face our govern-
ment and other major insti-
tutions, offering long and
short-term tactics for
weathering the storm. He
offers recommendations
that will allow families,
businesses, investors, and
individuals to manage their
assets correctly and come
out on top. With the right
knowledge and prepara-
tion, you can take advan-
tage of new wealth oppor-
tunities rather than get
caught in a downward spi-
ral. Your life is about to
change for reasons outside
of your control. You can't
change the direction of the
winds, but you can reset
your sails!

this new novel. The Devil's
Punchbowl refers to a deep
pit near the river in
Natchez, Mississippi. Not

numerous murder victims
there, but there is also a
long-standing rumor that it

deep that the bottom can't

A Happy New Year can
include more than best
wishes for the upcoming
year - it can include these
great new books from the
Sammy Brown Library.
One such story is Stuart
Woods’ Mounting Fears.
President Will Lee is hav-
ing a bad week. His vice
president just died during
surgery. Confirmation
hearings for the new vice
president are underway, but
the squeaky-clean governor
Will has nominated may
have a few previously
unnoticed skeletons in his
closet. And Teddy Fay, the
rogue CIA agent, is plot-
ting his revenge on CIA
director Kate Rule Lee, the
President’s wife.
With an unforgettable
cast of characters and vil-
lains—from Baxter Tate, a
drug-addled trust fund kid
and possible rapist, to
Dale, a pretty but seeming-
ly quiet former math
teacher who shares Kyle’s
"cubicle” at the law firm, to
two of the most powerful

ry bogs, the Jersey Devil, a
hair-raising experience,
and of course ... monkeys.
We have great new non-
fiction books to start the
New Year off right. One
such title is The Great
Eight: How to Be Happy
(even when you have every
reason to be miserable) by
Scott Hamilton. From
Gold Medalist to cancer
and brain tumor survivor,
Scott Hamilton has experi-
enced the height of accom-
plishment to the depths of
disease. But through his
successes, struggles, and
setbacks, Hamilton has
never lost his trademark
humor and honesty. But
more important, he has
never lost his faith and
optimism.
In The Great Eight,
Scott uses stories from his
international career and
personal life to describe the
eight secrets that - through
commitment and repetition
- have helped him “clear
the ice,” get back up, and
smile.
