culture,
Nancy has a "record in agricul-
tural experience- .to be envie by
anyone. She. has been a niembei
of the 4-H Club for nine years,
.during- which time she has showed
Mairy cattle. She -helped organize
the Western 4-H , Saddle Horse
Club in Cayuga County, N. Y.;
'she has been the junior leader of
both the Dairy Club and Horse
Club for the past t.wo years; and
has been the 4-H ..Horse Show
champion at the County Fair ioi
the past two years. She Iras been
a member of the County 4-H

at the New York State Fair foi
the past four years. She has
served as both president and vice-
president of Happy Partners, a.
4-H club of general activities. She
has had her junior membership in
the American Jersey Cattle Club

Babe Ruth Award
Nancy's excellent record of out-
standing- achievements is not lim-
ited to agricultural work. She was

Association last year. The Babe

field and classroom, was awarded
to her last spring'. She received
also the Senior High School Spirit
Award, for loyalty to the school
last spring-. She lias played cornet

Nancy has_.a display of blue rib-
bons won at home.- She is the! own,
er of four registered Holstein and
two registered Jersey's.
Her interests in sports include
ice skating' and square dancing,

member of a .set that went to'New
York State Fair in competition
after winning- the district last
year.
Likes Texas
Regarding' Texas, Nancy says.,
"I like Texas very much, but I
wis hthat it weren't so dry." Tarle-
ton was recommended to, her by
her sister, Elizabeth (Betsy)
Myers, who was an agricultural
major here last year. Nancy stat-
ed that the education she receives
in Texas will differ from one that
she would receive in New York
in that the emphasis is placed on
beef cattle here, rather than dairy
cattle, as it is in ' New York.
Intramural Sports
Start This Week
Intermural sports, touch foot-
ball, basketball, golf and tennis
are to start this w^ek.
Coach C. M. Flory, director of
physical education, urges all team
managers to sign up their teams

Appointed to Work
With Committee
Two students were recently ap-
pointed as members of the Library
committee by President E, J.
Howell.
They are John Hendrix, senior
student from Santo, and Nancy
White, freshman from Dublin.
They will, serve with an eight-
member faculty group.
Faculty members on the com-
mittee are Miss Lola Thompson,
chairman; Miss Annie Lucy Lane,
Prof. Jack English, Dr. Dick
Smith, Miss Lee Edwin Terry,
Prof. A. J. Spangler, Prof. Win-
