'Secret Love' Party
Scheduled Friday
A "S. L." Party {Secret Love)
will be held at the Wesley Founda-
tion Friday at 7 p.m. Games will
be led by Peggy Goodloe. Fol-
lowing the games, the "S, L."
names will be drawn. Every one
is invited to attend.
Vespers will be led tonight by
Lee Lemons at 6 p.m. Miss Dollie
Glover, head of the English De-
partment, will be in charge of the
vesper program on Thursday.

Calf Roping Set
For This Sunday
Woods' Arena
A college calf roping will be held
Sunday at Woods' roping arena.
The roping will start about 1:S0
p. m. with a $25 jackpot roping
tfor men. The college roping- will
ifollow, and it will be a two-calf
jackpot roping-. The pot will be de-
cided by the number of contest-
ants.
The arena is one-half mile past
the Dairy King on the Dublin
Highway; first road on the right
hand side after the Memorial Sta-
dium cutoff.
The roping is open to any TSC

Bob Davis hit two free, throws
in the last 10 seconds, of the San
Angelo College game to give Tarle-
ton a G8-0G victory.
It was the second straight con-
ference victory for t),he Plows
against no defeats.
In the first half Tarleton held
the lead most of the way, but in
the second half SAC was hitting
the,basket from all'angles. They
tied the score at 54 all with 5:30
left in the garni. It was nip and
tuck the rest of the way with both
teams- taking' the lead.
SAC's Ed Nicholson was hig'h
point man for the game with 20
points. Davis led Tarleton with
15, followed by Charles Sheffield
with 14. Tarleton hit 85 per cent
of their free shots.
Tarleton gained' its first confer-
ence victory Tuesday night with
an 83-54 rout of Ranger Junior
College. Tarleton had trouble find-
ing the basket at first, but when
they found it they were not to be
challenged. It was the third
straight game that they hit the
80's in the scoring' column.

High point man for the game
was "Bubba" Canuteson of Ranger
with 15 points. We] don Curbo and
Lonnie Woods of Ranger each hit
13 points. Sheffield led tiie Plow-
boys' scoring with 14 points, fol-
lowed by Burch Swafford with 12,
Davis with 11, and Covelle Jones
with. 10 points. It was the first
game of the year that every Plow
suited up hit the scoring column.
The Plowboys are now riding a
six game winning streak. They
have not lost a game since they
lost to the University of Texas
freshmen 60-i7 on Jan. 7.
