In the East Texas League, the list' of

Marshall—E. E. Munsell.
Paris—Paul Trammel.
Longview—Jack Lockhart.
Greenville—Bennie Brownlow.

Sulphur Springs—.
Advices from Paris have it that
Trammel has secured twenty-five sig-
nature* to contracts, and that spring
training will begin on April 1st.
Youree will secure a great portion of
the Mount Pleasant team from the
sand lota of Dallas, and has a number
of promising recruits under contra^.
Greenville is picked to have an es-
pecially strong team under the tute-
lage of Bennie Brownlow. Ike Sob-
olsky, the Dallas magnate, will back
the Greenville bunch to the limit, and
that elub will be built from Walters
Morris' cast offs. In other words, if
the rookie can’t make a Steer, he is
bound for Greenville. Greenville
training will open about the first of
April.
Munsell already has several aspir-
ing athletes combatting in the Knife
and Fork League, trying to fatten
their chance of a place on the new

When the farms are completed it is
planned to sell them to former sol-
diers who are taking vocational train-
ing in agriculture. Intensive farm-
ing is expected to follow poultry, bee
and produce raising. A requisite will
be that each man who buys a farm
be married, taking a poultry coarse in
an agricultural college and have a
satisfactory scholastic standing.
Similar to the plan worked out at
Veteransville, Minn., the tenants will
be given extended time to pay for
their farms in a manner that will per-
mit them to use their government al-
lowances to finance the farms until
they are income producers.

Johns-Manville Flexstone Shingles are mineral through
and through; made of asbestos rock fibre felt with an
ornamental surfacing of crushed red, green or blue-black
slate or feldspar (a neutral gray). They’re literally sheets
of flexible stone. That’s why they stand the terrific heat
of the blow torch test and afford greater fire protection,
longer and more economical service—and never need
painting. •
That’s why Flexstone Shingles are given Class “B” by
Underwriters’ Laboratories, Inc., the highest rating for
thio type of shingle; a rating that takes base rates of ,
insurance. d
Yet they cost little more than rag-felt shingles. ' J
