Jesus vs. Beatle Lennon

The story of a fictitious dis-
cussion between Jesus Christ
and Beatis John Lennon has
cost the editor of the liumor ma-,
gazine at Texas Western College
his job, states the El Paso
school's newspaper, "the Pro-

Students have begun circulat-
ing petitions to have the editor,
Richard Sehreibstein reinstated.
Dr. John Middagh, director of
student publications, said that

at West Texas State University
on a western note. All male
freshmen were jailed by sherif-
fs or deputies (members of the
Buffalo football team) if caught
■without a beard, a beanie, and
western clothes.
Freshmen women caught
without their beanies received
the same punishment.

eredge from the Department of
Parks and Wildlife will speak
to the Biology club on wildlife
conservation.
The lecture will be in the Sci-
ence Lecture Room' of the TSC
campus at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Morri-
son of the biology department
urges that all biology majors
and anyone in the general pub-
lic to attend.
There is to be a question and
answer period after the lecture.
