Uncle Sam will have to chastise Mex-
ico for the ugly way she is now be-
having herself. “Of course,” says the
boss man, “I’m too old to take a part
in the chastising. Our younger boys
can mix it with the Mexicans, but
I’ll remain by the stuff, and if the
Mexicans are licked, which they will
be, I will share the honor as well as
the boys who do the shooting.” As
all Bible readers ought to know what
remaining by the stuff means, the
Bishop will not take the time to tell
it in this letter to the News. He will
say this much, however, that those
who remained by the stuff in old Bible
times were just as much entitled to
the spoils of victory as those who went
to the front and did the fighting. So
Coleman will remain by the stuff and
he will do his part in the mix-up with
Mexico, if there be one. The Bishop
himself will remain by the stuff. Hie

Eight hundred Seventh-Day Ad-
ventists, now camped at Dalworth, be-
tween Fort Worth and Dallas, are
expecting the second coming of Christ
and the marshaling of the heavenly
army in the skies when the allies
capture Constantinople. Look out,
sinner folks, who knows but that their
expectations may be realized? Ac-
cording to the teachings of the Bible,
it’s a fact that this old world will
sooner or later witness the second
coming of Christ, and the idea seems
to strike the Bishop that when the
allies enter Constantinople it would
be a mighty good time lor Him td
come. The Bishop doesn’t know that
it would set him back much, if any,
for the event to take place at the
zhove specified time, and it would
iniced be happiness inexpressible for
the saints to meet their Lord and
Savior in the air. But what about
those who are now engaged in human
slaughter over across the big pond,
wantonly butchering innocent women
and children, and doing other kinds 1
of devilment, besides all other who i
have not the pardoning love of God f
in their hearts? Well, the Bible tel!-
all about it, and as a 2x4 preach er i
the Bishop warns all sinner folks not |
to be caught napping but to be on the i
lookout and be ready, because when I
the allies enter Constantinople the
Adventists’ prediction may be verified.
But the allies may not capture Con-
stantinople. Then what? The cap-
ture of that city by the allies would
have nothing to do with the second
coming of Christ, whatever. But we
know that these be troublous times.
The whole world is in a state of un-
rest. Things are coming to pass
mighty fast, prophecies are being rap-
idly fulfilled, and according to Bible
teaching it begins to look like that the
second .coining of Christ will soon be
here. But, then, the Bishop doesn’t
know anything more about it than
anybody else, and anybody else doesn’t
know anything more about it than the
Bishop. So there you are. It’s best,
however, to be ready to meet the Sav-
ior in the air when He does come,
and not be like the foolish virgins
we read about in the New Testament.
Give your whole hearts to God, sin-
ner folks, and if you live to see His
second coming, you will be mighty
glad to meet Him.
J. C. McKinney phones up to the
Bishop this morning from Platt that
