Intramural
rodeo

JThe TSU Rodeo CJub is
Holding an Intramural
Rodeo Friday night for
other TSU clubs, frater-
nities, TSU students, or
anyone interested in par-
ticipating or attending.
Kim Smith, treasurer
of the rodeo club, said,
"We want to get them
(other students) involved
and show them what the
club has."
The rodeo will include
the traditional events
such as bareback riding,
bull riding, saddlebronc
riding, team roping, steer
wrestling, calf roping,
breakaway roping, goat
tying, and barrel racing.
Those who don't own a
horse or rodeo equip-
ment, can come and join
the fun in the wild cow
milking, steer saddling,
and goat tying.
Entry fee for tradi-
tional events is $25 for
club members. For part-
time or senior high school
students there is a one
time fee of $10 extra for
entering.
Non-members pay a
one-time fee of $15 extra
for entering.
Special events will be
$18 for the men's events

goat tying event. Entries
must be in before the
close of tonight's Rodeo
Club meeting which
starts at 8 pm in the Cave.
Tfye rodeo club has
been planning a dance
and a barbeque with the
rodeo, as well as a con-
cession stand.
Roping slack starts at 2
pm the main event starts
at 7:30, and the rough
stock slack will be after
the regular rodeo. '
Admission will be $2 for
non-students and adults,
and $1 for students with
ID's. Rodeo members
and children under 10 will
be admitted free.
The club has 83
members with five en-
thusiastic officers. This
year's president is Neal
Felton, Vice President -
Randel Graff, Secretary -
Kim Kelly, Treasurer -
Kim Smith, and Reporter
- Tracy Pasque.
Club dues are $15 and
NIRA (National Inter-
collegiate Rodeo Associa-
tion) memberships are
availabel for $70.
