TSU golf team getting ready
In conjunction with homecoming activities
at TSU, golf coach Donnie Campbell has an-
nounced the formation of the first Texans
Alumni Golf Classic to be held Oct. 28 at 1 pm
at the Legends Golf Club in Stephenville.
The tournament, which is open to all
Tarleton Alumni and friends, will have a
scramble format. A card-carrying profes-
sional will captain each scramble team.
Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin
and plaques will be awarded to all winners.
The entry fee will be $25 which includes
green fees, golf carts, and privileges for the
Attitude Adjustment Watering Hole and hors
d'oeuvres.
Persons interested in entering should list
score or handicap and send with a check to
the Tarleton Athletic Department, c-o Donnie
Campbell, Box T-2002, Stephenville, TX 76402.
Entries must be in by Oct. 26.
Contributions for the tournament have been
made by the following persons or organiza-
tions: TSU Alumni Association, Legends Golf
Club, Mike Walker-Cashon's, Denver Dog-
gett, Allen Horn-United Telephone System,
Perry Eilliott-Farmers First National Bank,
Ronnie Giles-TSU Intramural Department,
and Roger Freeman-Southfork. Excess pro-
ceeds will benefit the Tarleton varsity golf
team.
The tournament is being sponsored by the
Tarleton Alumni Association TSU Athletic
Department, and the TSU Intramural
Department.
