One of the main items on the
agenda is a review of the proposed
school calendar for 1978-79. Board
members hope to get the calendar
in final shape at the Thursday
meeting at 8 p.m. at the school
building.
The board will also consider
adding a new sixth grade room
and hiring of a second sixth grade
teacher for the coming school
year.
Remodeling of the school
cafeteria and purchase of ad-
ditional equipment for the cafe-
teria is also on the agenda.
Trustees will also discuss renewal
of contracts for non-certified em-
ployees.
The need to purchase extra
smoke detectors and other furni-

topic of discussion.

Outgoing council members are
Mayor Frank Dugger, who has
served for 10 years as the city’s
top government official, and Ei-

council for the past 2 years.
Appointment of a council
member to complete the 1 year
remaining on Pierson’s council
term is also on the agenda.
Council members will discuss who
to appoint for the position and
that person, if present, will be
sworn in at the meeting.
There’s speculation that H.R.

April 1 election, will be appointed
to that spot.
