SENATE JOURNAL.
Works, or other agency of the United
States, the Attorney General is au-
thorized to approve said district's
bonds to be issued and sold pursu-
ant to such contract, without re-
quiring approval of such amended
plans by the Texas State Board of
Water Engineers and without requir-
ing approval of the issuance of such
bonds by said board; and declaring
an emergency."
Read and referred to the Com-
mittee on State Affairs.
Senator Parr asked for advanced
printing on S. B. No. 15.
Recess.
Senator Woodruff made a motion
that the Senate recess until 2:00
o'clock p. m.
The motion prevailed.
After Recess.
The Senate met at 2:00 o'clock
p. m., pursuant to recess, and was
called to order by Lieutenant Gover-
nor Edgar E. Witt.
Senate Bill No. 12.
The Chair announced pending bus-
iness was the engrossment of S. B.
No. 12.
S. B. No. 12 passed to engross-
ment by viva voce vote.
Senator Purl asked that the Sen-
ate stand at ease for ten minutes.
Senator Purl sent up the follow-
ing amendment to S. B. No. 12:
Amend S. B. No. 12 by striking
out the word "September 1" and
insert in lieu thereof "March 1,
1935."

Senator Holbrook made a motion
to table the amendment by Senator
Purl.
The motion to table prevailed by
viva voce vote.
On motion of Senator Beck, the
constitutional rule requiring bills to
be read on three several days was
suspended and S. B. No. 12 was put
on its third reading and final passage
by the following vote:
