Sealed bids will be receiv-
ed In the City Hall, Allen,
Texas on August 18,1981 at
3:00 P.M., and then publical-
ly opened and read aloud for
furnishing all materials,
labor, equipment, supervi-
sion and performing all
work required In connection
with the construction of
Walden and Rolling Hills
Parks, City of Allen.
Bids will be submitted in
sealed envelopes upon the
blank form of PROPOSAL
Included In the Contract
Documents. The envelopes
are to be labeled In the up-
per left hand corner, “Bld
for Walden & Rolling Hills
Parks for the City of Allen,
Contract No. 810206A.”
All proposals shall be ac-
companied by a Cashier’s
Check or Certified Check
upon a National or State
Bank in the amount of five
percent of the total max-
imum bid price payable
without recourse to the City
of Allen, Texas, or a bid
bond in the same amount
from a reliable surety com-
pany as a guarantee the bid-
der will enter into a contract
and execute a Performance
Bond and a Payment Bond
within fifteen days after
notice of the Award of the
contract to him. The Notice
of Award of the contract
shall be given by the Owner
within 30 days following the
opening of bids. Bids
without the Certified
Cashiers Check of Bid Bond
will not be considered.
All bid securities will be
returned to the respective
bidders after the bids are
z opened except those of the
three lowest bidders which
the Owner may elect to hold
until the successful bidder
has executed the Contract.
Thereafter, all remaining
securities including the
security of the successful
bidder will be returned. The
successful bidder must fur-
nish Performance and Pay-
ment Bonds on the form in-
cluded with these Contract
Documents, each In the
amount of 100 percent of
the contract price from an
approved surety company
holding a permit from the
State of Texas to act as
surety (and acceptable ac-
cording to the latest list of
companies holding cer-
tificates of authority from
the Secretary of Treasury of
the United States) or other
surety or sureties accep-
table to the Owner.
The right is reserved as
the interest of the Owner
may require to reject any
and all bids and to waive any
informalities in bids receiv-
ed.
Specifications and Con-
tract Documents may be
secured from the office of

FIX AND ASSOCIATES, 103

Texas 75002, upon a deposit
of $50.00 per set. Any bid-
der, upon returning such a
set promptly and in good
condition, will be refunded
$25.00, and any non-bldder
upon returning such a set 5
days prior to the bid date
will be refunded $25.00.
The Bidder should
carefully examine the
specifications and other
documents, and fully inform
himself as to all conditions
and matters which can in
any way affect the work of
cost thereof.
Should the bidder find
discrepancies in or omis-
sions from the specifica-
tions or other documents,
or should he be in doubt as
to their meaning, he should
at once notify the Engineer
in writing, and obtain
clarification in writing prior
to the submitting of any bid.
