HALLETTSVILLE - Mrs.
Hugo F. "Mickey” Meyer, 72,
died at 12:32 a.m. Tuesday,
Aug. 12th in the Renger
Hospital. She was a resident of
Route 4, Victoria, and a former
resident of Hallettsville.
Funeral services were held at
2 p.m. Thursday at Kubena
Funeral Home in Hallettsville
with the Rev. CWilliam Moseley
officiating. Burial was in the City
Cemetery with Larry and Gary
Stroud, Fred and Henry Meyer,
Lester Woytek and Harold
Muenchow as pallbearers.
Mrs. Meyer was born in
Lavaca County July 26, 1903,
and was married to Hugo F.
Meyer on Dec. 5, 1922 in
Hallettsville.
She is survived by her
husband; a son, Marvin Meyer
of San Antonio; three daughters,
Mrs. C. W. Burroughs of
Houston, Mrs. Loren Stroud of
Victoria and Mrs. Kenneth

Mrs. Lizzie Knox, 88, former
Yoakum resident, died at 6 p.m.
Wednesday in a Port Lavaca
nursing home.
Funeral services were held
Friday at 2 p.m. at Buffington
Funeral Home with the Rev. W.
W. Connally officiating. Burial
was in Oak Grove Cemetery with
John Lee, Lawrence Hagan,
Caleb Clark, Howard Wilkerson,
Henry Riemenschneider and
Herbert Nollkamper as pall-
bearers.
Mrs. Knox was born in
Germany on Dec. 27, 1886.
Survivors include a son, Joe
Louis Knox of San Marcos; five
daughters, Mrs. Willie Tupa,
Mrs. Annie Hebert and Mrs.
Eugene Barnes of Palacios, Mrs.
Allie Maxwell of Dublin and
Mrs. Helen Horton of San
Antonio; 17 grandchildren and
10 great grandchildren.
