THE DIET CORNER, By
Alberta B. Soloski, Area Director
of The Diet Workshop
Thanksgiving . . .
And what is there left to say
about it? Words from an old
Scottish grace keep insinuating
themselves into my thoughts. As
Iremember, it ends: “But we ha’
meat, and we can eat, and so the
Lord be thankit.”
Diet we must, but eat we can -
and that includes Thanksgiving
feasts and holiday feting. It takes
skill to circumnavigate the
month upcoming because of the
diet shoals. However, it can be
done.
First of all, Thanksgiving. It’s
the Dieter’s Holiday because the
main course is turkey, and breast
of turkey is the finest of diet
proteins. That’s something I’ll
bet never entered the pilgrim's
minds! Turkey dressing? Yes!

"Although today most fabrics
are pre shrunk to eliminate
such a size problem, most
garments or fabric over - the ■
counter that has two to three per

change the size of a garment
noticeably. Garments marked as
such usually have special care
instructions to prevent shrink-

with special treatment. A good
example of this is cotton gauze
