CELINA, June 8 — Mrs. C. F.
Choate was installed worthy ma-
tron of the Celina chapter. Order
of the Eastern Star, in a ceremony
at the Masonic Hall.
Mrs. Joe Roberts was installing ‘
officer. The hall was “decorated
with arrangements of spring flow-
ers, and flowers of appropriate col-
ors were at each star point station.
Music was pusented by Mrs. J.
C. Flanery.

third meeting of the Texas Asso-
ciation for Instructional Supervis-
ors . will be held at Texas A&M
College June 22 24.

ate of Northwest High School. Her
husband was graduated from Bur-
lington Junior College, Burlington,
Iowa; Iowa Wesleyan College, Mt.
Pleasant, Iowa, and Southern
Methodist University. He has been
a teacher at Northwest High
School.

AUBREY, June 6 — Mrs. H. H.
Hudson was hostess to the Aubrey
Needle Club Tuesday in her home.
Mrs. Knox Browning presided.
Plans were made for a pienic June
4 16 in the Sam Hodges pasture.
Members present were Mmes.
Sam Hodges, J. W. Romack, An-
nie Mullins, Alvin Crawford.
George Bell, Leslie DeMar, John

with baskets of white gladioli, car-
nations, majestic daisies and stock.
Palms and green and white cala-
dium plants formed the back-
ground for white candelabra.
Mrs. Joe Morris of Denton, cou-
sin of the bride, played the organ,
and Francis Hill of Fort Worth
sang.
Mr. Lewis gave his daughter in
marriage. Flowers for the wed-
ding party and house party were
shipped from Honolulu by the
bridegroom’s parents. ‘
The bride wore a waltz-length
gown of white nylon tulle and lace
over white slipper satin. The bouf-
fant tulle skirt was trimmed in
bands of lace, and a fitted lace
bolero jacket covered the strap-
less lace bodice.
Her French illusion veil fell from
a lace-covered bonnet edged with
rows of seed pearls and lace. She
wore a single strand of pearls, a
gift of the bride-groom. Her bou-
quet was fashioned with tiny white
orchids and lilies-of-the-valley sur-
rounding a large white orchid.
Miss Daphine Beam of Newark,
maid of honor, wore an orchid net
gown and carried a bouquet of
purple orchids. Other attendants.
Miss Fraya Hathorn and Mrs.
Ted Reynolds, wore gowns of la-
vender and purple and carried pur-
ple orchids.
Candlelighters were Miss Mary
Helen Faught and Larry Rogers.
Miss Faught’s gown was of char-
treuse net. Flower girls, Lana
Dawn Lewis of Dallas. cousin of
the bride, and Tanya Burks, wore
orchid net dresses and carried
baskets of rose petals.
