built across tre Rio Chico at the point
known as Boqulllas del Turaxno near
this city. The structure is to be
about 12 fet high by 120 feet in
length and will form a reservoir with
a sufficient capacity for storing
2 . cubic feet of the flood waters
which have heretofore practically
gone to waste as the heavy rains
come at a time whoa they are of bat
little use for Irrigating.
Aside from supplying the city with
water for domestic purposes and for
Irrigating the public parks and pri-
vate gardens and lawns it iff esti
mated that sufficient water can be
"stored for watering 30ao to 40.0
