cial.)—Judge Montrose has entered
an order on the motion docket of his
court dissolving the temporary writ of
injunction against T. B. Holland, who
has filed a new bond, entitling him to
pursue the occupation of a prescrip-
tion liquor dealer in local option ter-
ritory. The state will contest the
case in court.

Buy Department Equipment. .
Cleburne, Texas. May 19.—(Spe-
cial.)—A subscription list has been
started among the property owners
of Cleburne to raise a fund to pur-
chase a fire engine. It is the pur-
pose to improve the fire protection to
prevent the increase of insurance rates
which is threatened by insurance
companies. Cleburne, however, has
been very fortunate in regard to fires
in the past few years, there having
been no fir* of any consequence for
nearly a year and no disastrous fires
for several years.

Wagon Wheel Passes Over Limb of
Commerce Boy.
Greenville, Texas, May 19.— (Spe-
cial.)— The 12-year-old son of Noah
Hal* at Commerce fell from a wagon
Friday afternoon in that town and
had one of his feet cut off by th*
wheel running over it. His ankle
was across the rut and the wheel
struck it in such manner as to cut
like a blunt instrument. The boy to

are hopeful of saving his life.

It is rumored that an important fed-
eral change hesetofore predicted in The
Record will take place June 1 and Mr.
Lyon Li said to have communicated
with a Republican of Fort Worth to
this effect.
Several members of the club are urg-
ing the body to indorse the action of
Colonel Lyon in placing the conven-
tion at El Paso and the body is further
being urged to indorse the policy which
Colonel Lyon has carried out during
his adndnistrailon.
A former member of the Roosevelt
club who recently tendered his resig-
nation stated yesterday that he has re-
ceived n letter from Dr. A. W. Acheson,
formerly mayor of Denison, to the ef-
