Registration will begin at 2:30
p.m. Sunday for a four-day Junior
Red Cross leadership training cen-
ter at NTSC.
Moro than a hundred junior high
and senior high school students
from Dallas County are expected
to attend. The program is spon-
sored by the countys Junior Red
Cross chapter in cooperation with
the schools.
The sessions, which will end
Wednesday afternoon, are design-
ed to acquaint the students with
the organization and operation of
the Junior Red Cross program.
The students will live in college
dormitories and eat in college din-
tog halls during their stsy.
On Sunday’s program are a pic-
nic supper and an orientation meet-
ing, with Jackie Roberts of Wood-
row Wilson High School as chair-
man. Ralph Shannon, manager of
th Dallas Red Cross chapter, will
speak, to the group.
Ann Lindeman of St Edward’s
High and Jimmy Butts of South
Oak Cliff are chairmen of a Sun-
day night social hour.
"A Red Cross Field Director
Telia of His Experiences in Korea
and Japan" will be the subject
of a Monday evening talk by John
Pratt Jr., recently returned from
th. Orient.

Reservists next week will begin
their first course of instruction
under a new AF program of
specialised training to AF adminis-
tration.
James Riddlesperger, a member
of the NTSC government depart-
ment faculty and a lieutenant in
the AF reserve, will be the in-
structor when the now course
opens July 8.
Lt. Col. Ridgley O. Ryan, com-
mander of Fort Worth’s Air Re-
serve Center, was in Denton last
week to help set up the new
course.
I addition to the 15 students
opening the new course, another
15 reservists have indicated in-
terest to instruction in aircraft
maintenance, radar and radio
fields. If mere people show an
interest to this course, it will also
be offered, according to Colonel
Ridgley.
Denton officers who will attend
the administration class include
O. J. Camp Jr., G. H.‛ Bram-
mer Jr., T. L, Carter, Alex Dues-
sen. Eart Vinson, A J. Woods,
Alvin Armstrong, Emmett Crosby,
Donald Webb, Sig Young, Norwood
F. Moore and Robert B. Toulouse.
Other Air Force officers, regard-
less of previous military training
or experience, are eligible to at-
tend and join the Denton unit.
Reservists meet twice monthly in
room 201 of NTSC’s Joumnalism
