Cabbage Patch dolls were one
of the most popular items, and
participants purchased a dozen.
Warm clothes and shoes and of
course toys rated high among
requests too. Often, the
employee’s “inner child” took
temporary control of the per-

More than 100 InteCom head-
quarters employees removed
any doubt that the true spirit of
Christmas still thrives. In con-
juction with Texas American
Bank in Allen and the Texas
Department of Human
Resources, they opened their
hearts — and their checkbooks
— to more than 80 under
privileged children in Collin
County.
Each participant received the
first name of a child along with
age, sex, sizes and particular
items that child request from
“Santa.” Armed with this infor-
mation InteComers descended
upon already crowded shopping
malls, determined to provide
Christmas joy to a child other-
wise unlikely to receive it.

loving and sharing.
“The response has been
remarkable,” she says.

In one case, when we learned
that the child was in a foster
