Photograph of the front of a monument commemorating the German-Americans who died at the Nueces Massacre. The monument is a square column of white stone with a flat-topped obelisk-like column above, with the text "Treue der Union" on the visible side, with a vase of flowers below. It is surrounded by a multi-chain fence with obelisk-shaped posts and the historic marker is visible at the right side of the enclosure. There are trees in the background, behind and to the right of the monument and buildings are partially visible on the opposite side of High Street.
